Birmingham Chinese Language Centre development 

There are currently 7 primary schools and 3 secondary schools successfully teaching Chinese to young people of varying abilities and backgrounds where Chinese is embedded within the regular curriculum of the school.  Chinese is also taught through an enrichment programme in an additional secondary school.

Back in 2017, when the Centre was first established, we had just 4 primary schools teaching Mandarin in the curriculum. We now have more than 2000 students studying Chinese in schools across the Centre. We offer a range of courses, including GCSE, WJEC, HSK and YCT to our students. We are incredibly proud of the growth of our schools and committed to continue the growth of the provision of Chinese in schools in and around Birmingham.
